THE KWANDALA FOUNDATION IS BACK!!!

REVIVED & REINVIGORATED

T
he Kwandala Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization that was founded in 2005 by a group of young men and women to provide a bridge between those who are in need of help and assistance on one hand and those who are willing to assist but can not find the channel through which to extend their intentions on the other is back from its erstwhile break.

The K. Foundation as it is popularly called bounced back in a serious and sober mood by paying a condolence visit to the management of Freedom Radio over the death of its General Manager Umar Dutse Muhammad, also one of Kwandala's Board of Trustees member, who died on Tuesday 16th December 2008 in a hospital in Egypt after undergoing a surgery for leukemia.
The visit which took place on Wednesday 24th December, 2008 at the independent radio station premises in Sharada industrial area of Kano State marked a rebirth of sort for the much appreciated organization.

The Foundation which came on to the local and national NGO scene with an innovative idea of giving every one equal opportunity to show their concern by donating at least one naira for the alleviation of people's suffering, which could be afforded by both the rich and poor was quite appealing to the populace. This simple approach would soon make huge impact on the minds of all the people who find it quite interesting, even exciting to be able to give their little contribution in arresting an otherwise compounded problem.

Under the leadership of its Founder and President Arc. Tijjani Muhammad Musa the organization executed some laudable and heart touching projects in 2005. Some of which include Kwandala 4 Tsunami, Kwandala 4 Mal. Ja'afar, Kwandala 4 Niger Food Crisis, Kwandala 4 Primary School Computers etc. Soon individuals, enterpreneurs, businesses, companies, corporate entities, multi-national organizations, parastatal and even governments were donating in cash and in kind to the various Kwandala Foundation projects.

It was after the Foundation's epoch journey to Niger Republic to deliver food aid for famine victims that a slow down in momentum of its activities was witnessed. With a never ending demand for help and assistance pouring in from different part of the state, country and even outside, it became a herculean task for the Foundation to keep pace. Thus it had to hibernate for a while and reorganize its approach which necessitates a restructuring of its operations.

Now after attending to the various areas of its activities, the Kwandala Foundation is now back, fully reinvigorated, recharged and ready to take on more humanitarian works for the benefits of mankind. So give the glad tidings to all and sundry “THE KWANDALA FOUNDATION IS BACK!”
